A full drum machine that runs in a browser tab
DRUMMY is an online drum machine and beat maker built around the workflow of a classic 16-pad sampler. Every sound is synthesised in the browser, so there is nothing to install and nothing to wait for. Hit Z X C V, A S D F, Q W E R and 1 2 3 4 to play the pads, press Space to start the loop, and Enter to record.
Finger drumming
Sixteen velocity-sensitive pads across four banks — 64 sounds in total. Hit a pad lower for a softer note, or plug in a MIDI pad controller and play with real velocity. Note repeat rolls a held pad on the grid for hi-hat rolls and trap hats.
Step sequencer
Record live or draw hits straight onto the 16-step grid. Drag a step up or down for velocity, sideways to nudge it off the grid, and dial in swing until the loop breathes. Four patterns chain together into a song.
Sampler and chopper
Drop in any audio file or record from your microphone. DRUMMY finds the transients, slices the sample and lays the chops across the pads. Drag a single slice onto one pad, or stack it as a velocity layer.
Export what you make
Bounce the loop to a pad with resample, download it as a WAV, export the pattern as MIDI, or copy a link that rebuilds your beat exactly as you left it.

Can I use my own samples?

Does it work with a MIDI controller?
Yes, in browsers that support Web MIDI. Click MIDI, grant access, and pads respond to note messages with full velocity.
Can I export my beat?
You can export a WAV of the loop, a MIDI file of the pattern, a project file, or a shareable link containing the pattern itself.
